CHIEF!!!!!

Remember that we told Sadie we were getting a puppy for her birthday? This is the picture we showed her that day....but we all had to wait 7 weeks to go get him!! A very long wait, but the day finally came to go get him. The kids had a list of names, but Daddy said Sadie got to choose. Everyone agreed we had to see him first. Within about 15 minutes, Sadie had named him Chief. Everyone agreed. It suits him.
He's pretty fun and all the kids love how he had quickly become the little mascot around here.

Believe it or not, these two pictures were taken one week apart! He likes all of us, but he  is HOOKED on Sadie. I have even had to have Sadie stay inside for awhile so he'll go with the other kids first. I think it is secretly very satisfactory for Sadie to have him obviously love her above all of us. She deserves it. She spends the most time with him and gives him more TLC than 3 puppies need!
                                                                   From daylight......

                                                    'til dusk....these two are inseparable!

She taught him how to cross the cattleguard
She got down to play with him and he promptly took her hat!

Everyone thinks it was well worth the 7 week wait - he's a dandy. :)

Chief is a keeper! Love his looks, and the pictures make me think we'd all love his personality too! Sadie, you look like a very patient, "hands on" teacher when you demonstrated how to walk the cattlegaurd! The "dusk" picture is SUPER!! The smiles of all the kiddos make this auntie smile....is it summer yet when we can see you all in person??
Thanks for the update - love to see your days! Aunt Dede
