Springtime!

Yesterday I walked our regular "route" around the pastures. But it felt like fairies had come and transformed the scenery. It was hard to come back inside.

                                                                  Wildflowers everywhere!
The new mesquite trees are brilliantly green.
Everywhere I looked, there were more flowers - see the pink?
                                                                Colorful bouquets
A little family of barrel cactus among the flowers
The purple and white buffalo peas smell strongly like grape!
I was huffing a little, so pardon the erratic videoing, but this bird was so cheery!
And as I approached the tank, the frogs were singing away. As I got close, they went silent.
I think it would be much easier to get out and walk every day if every day was this pretty!
Come walk with me before it gets hot and the wildflowers are gone. :)

Pretty, indeed!!
I love the "family of barrel cactus", I have to say!
Haven't encountered anything that pretty or cute on the northern walks as of late. The snake that surprised me is as close as I can get....wanna trade? :)
Enjoy it while you can - very beautiful!!
Thanks for sharing, I'll try to put on my Anne of Green Gables imagination and imagine I'm walking in such a pasture when I head out! :)
Love,
Mel

SO BEAUTIFUL!! NAN HATTY IS HERE AND SHE LOOKED AT IT ALL WITH ME, AS WELL AS THE BOYS. THE BOYS LOVED THE FROGS, AND EVERETT SAID 'SHANE IS BIG'. =)
NAN HATTY LISTENED TO THE BIRD AND INSECT AND WIND VIDEO WITH HER EYES CLOSED AND SAID THAT THE SOUNDS OF THE BIRDS AND THE COUNTRY WHERE YOU GROW UP STAY WITH YOU ALWAYS. VERY TRUE.
LOVED THIS POST---OPUM AND MEMOP AND THE EDWARDSES
