Shane and Ivey tied at the last practice, so this one started out with determination on both parts to beat the other. Ivey's friend, Claire, jumped right in to help be the score keeper.
The girls talked strategy and points on the way back to the line.
Good buddies
Somehow it changed from Shane and Ivey to boys against girls.
The intensity is building.
Whispered advice and encouragement on the boys' side.
Hopeful watching on the girls' side. I didn't know archery was a team sport. :)
One of the Dad's that was there said he loves watching Ivey because she is quiet and sweet, but is dead serious about shooting well and trying to outshoot Shane. :)
The final round between them.
Shane tried an arrow release gadget but it didn't work too well, resulting in a failed shot.
Ivey was very sympathetic about it and accepted victory very humbly.
Or not.
The final line up.
A lot of fun squeezed into an hour.

Great post, and super good pictures Shelly. I can just hear all that commentary!
This is GREAT! The competition makes for better shooting, right? And we love Ivey's "sympathetic smile" hee hee.
Callie is drooling over the color of bows you get to use - does that make them shoot better? She thinks anything turquoise is better.
So fun to see you having so much fun with this - we can feel the fun vibes from the pics! More pics!!
We are missing Sadie though....do you still have her? If so, please post some pictures to prove it.
Love,
