Our 4H is offering archery this year. Shane and Ivey jumped right on the chance. Here are a few pictures of what practice looks like. They practice once a month now, and when it gets closer to the competition in April, they'll practice more. I'm not sure why they say the competition is in April. Seems to me, as soon as they line up to shoot, the competition starts!

 Shane and Ivey tied at the last practice, so this one started out with determination on both parts to beat the other. Ivey's friend, Claire, jumped right in to help be the score keeper.

   One of the Dad's that was there said he loves watching Ivey because she is quiet and sweet, but is         dead serious about shooting well and trying to outshoot Shane. :)

             Shane tried an arrow release gadget but it didn't work too well, resulting in a failed shot.

                              Ivey was very sympathetic about it and accepted victory very humbly.
