Whatever was on the camera...

I learned a few weeks ago that if I am in a hurry to make dinner, do NOT ask Shane to peel potatoes. Why? Well, as you can see, he looked at the bumpy potatoes and saw people's faces. Soon we had a scared man and a sad man with a funny nose. I didn't notice what he was up to...and about died laughing when I saw these guys sitting on my counter.

This is a scene I love. It hadn't happened in awhile...but they all got interested in "Dinotopia", Daddy too, and they read it every evening for a week. They were glad it caught Shane's eye in the library and he brought it home!

 Sadie didn't get to go work on this Saturday because her horse had a cut. Think Daddy needs to make Shane some longer leggings? :) It is on the agenda for this summer. :)

 Shane had a bike wreck. More like "trick riding gone wrong" it sounds like. Next time he builds a ramp he might see if there is a big cactus and concrete nearby. OUCH!! 

Sadie and her dogs. They show up everywhere. We recently stayed with some folks who have inside dogs. She was so inspired! Now she tells us that when she grows up, she is going to have a BUNCH of inside dogs! Reminds me of when Shane was upset that we wouldn't carry a bunch of junk back from the dump and he said (when he was 5) that we didn't understand how much he loves junk and "when I grow up, I will have a big junk pile by my house. :)

 

Speaking of Sadie, I found this sweatshirt for her on Zulilly....it matches her personality perfectly! She used to always color things "rainbow" and loves all colors combined. Notice her favorite headband? Rainbow! :)
