I am struggling to get the pictures from when we lived up north on blogger. My technical support team (Mo and Mel) are helping me, but for today we will have to start at last June, when we moved South again.

I know a lot of you are wondering some things. Perhaps I can answer some FAQ's here.
1. Where are we?
Oh, you know I am not going to say exactly where we are. This is a public blog and I remain partially paranoid, so I can't bring myself to give that much info. :)
However, you know both of our backgrounds. We live closer to where Morgan was raised than where I was, it is t-shirt weather in December, and we say ya'll. In the newspapers there are often notifications for prayer meetings at local cafes regarding things like the election. Families trap wild hogs and sell them for vacation money.Ivey said she can hardly understand the computer teacher when she tells them what "web-saht" to go to. That ought to give you a good idea where on the map we are.

2. What are we doing?  About the same thing we've been doing for 10 years. Raising kids in the country. A different location but it still has a dirt road to ride a bike down.
And opportunities for Daddy to invite a child to learn something NEW and FUN!!
Oh, wait...he was tricking them into learning a skill that they will use over and over. Even after the "new" and "fun" wear off. :)
And there are still small town parks to play at.
There's still plenty of room to practice "Ranger" skills.
But, Rangering is a little lonely by one's self.
Especially when one just moved 1,000 miles away from his best Rangering buddy.
What is a Ranger to do? Grab a sister, woo her with the romance of a Ranger's life, and put her in training! This worked really well. Ivey has proven a good Ranger and is always game to go play. :)
What else are we doing? As far a work and living? Well, that will be in the next installment of FAQ's. As soon as tech support helps me get the right pictures loaded. It's just that one of the tech support group has a new baby and one has a busy life with her own husband, kids, and blog. So I am a bit down the list but we will get there. :)

Thanks so much for the great update - I SO enjoy reading witty news and seeing pictures!!! I would love to walk up your dirt road and find myself knocking on the door at 7 AM to beg a cup of French Press coffee and a good visit about things that have fed our souls.... :-)

*Smile* *Teary* UGH - pick one emotion to hit on at a time, please!! Love the hilarity of your location description, and get teary to remember the Rangering days up here..... come back, please!! In the meantime, Ivey wins many bonus points for joining in the Rangering operations!
Love you,
Mel

Hope Anna will get to visit you some day.......but tell her to call us for directions first. :) And also to watch out for rattlesnakes on that walk up your dirt road. :) We feel privileged that we've been to see you already!!

Love that you are back to blogging! Good for Shane teaching Ivey ranger skills. She might really need those some day. :-)

Thank you so much for blogging. It allows me to feel connected with you and your family although we are so many miles away. You are all so very dear to me.
I thoroughly enjoyed the very, very short visit in September. Wish it could have been longer. *sigh*
Give all the kiddos hugs from me and a warm hello to Morgan.
~ peace ~
