I am fighting with blogger. In two years they evidently improved the site and made it so much easier to use. Unless you are computer illiterate like me. Then you like to have one simple rabbit trail to stay on and please don't change it. I am trying to add more pictures to the sides of the blog, but until I win, I will put some here for you.
The above picture was the kids going to school and Morgan to work one chilly day up north. Yes, it was cold, but if my memory serves me correctly, none of the other ranch men or kids dressed to the hilt. In fact, it was quite a mild winter.... if you have been living up there for years. Not so mild when we were used to 70 degree average temperatures all winter. As I wore a tshirt to work outside today, I have to say it is good to be back down here. :)
Here's what they look like without winter gear on.
And here's what they look like leaving for school down here. Ahh... so much less to keep track of! Up north it was three pair of bog boots, snowpants, gloves, hats, extra shoes in backpacks in case they didn't want to wear snowboots all day, and extra clothes in case they wet their pants before they could get all of their gear off when they arrived at school (just kidding about the last one). I know those moms up there are pros at it, but I was thankful during those winter months that I only had three kids in school! :)

Happy Thanksgiving to you!!
Hope you ha a wonderful day!!!
SO so fun to see pictures, etc - thanks for reviving your blog!!
I laughed and loved the post about the SPIN experiences too!!
I am glad your spin sent you to us :) Love to see your blog up to date!
Ooops......I was trying to correct a typing error and ended up deleting my comment.......anyway, we thought of you yesterday while we were at Justin and Mel's stuffing ourselves.....and remembered doing the same at your house a year ago!! :)
Thanks for updating your blog. We enjoy following along!
Awww, c'mon. You don't miss the "snotcicles"? That's what Callie called the frozen drippies from her horses nose this morning! :)
Enjoy your balmy weather, and your neat tidy porch that doesn't have to house a zillion winter wardrobe pieces!
So glad to see you back on here!!! Fun to see the kids minus the outer winter wear!! We were laughing the other day about how our kids got excited the first snow in Colorado, because they thought it would be like Montana, and they could skate on the icy sidewalks at recess. Alas the snow was all melted by recess time. LOL
Enjoy the warm weather!! Maybe if you talk about it enough Melody and crew will move to Texas. :-)
Love to see your kids again...and you and Morg, soon, I hope!! :)
I too am not sure that "simple template" is the correct adjective for what I attempted to do with my blog :) Mine looks more like "simple blogger trying to use basic template and failing miserably with pictures out of order and doesn't know how to change font" ... Ah well, at least we get to see some smiling faces and if we pay attention we can hear the voices in our head to go with your words... Thanks for updating... let me know if you find a "blogging for idiots" book :) Love Mars
You know when I thought of this post? The other morning when I took my "bundled-to-the-hilt-with-extra-clothes-in-backpack" kids to school. I was laughing at the truth to the clothing thing, but when I dropped them off at school I wasn't laughing anymore. Why? Because I went to run Callie's sax into the music room so she wouldn't be tardy...and that nice, northern, wintery stuff called ice landed me on the sidewalk of the school! GROAN! Luckily my "bundled-to-the-hilt-with-extra-clothes-in-backpack" kids were inside of the building taking off their layers so they didn't have to witness it. Luckily we were so close to being tardy that not many others witnessed it either. I drove home wondering if you still have the phone number for Penske.
*ahem*
