Hello! I really didn't intend to take a 2 year break from blogging. In fact, I didn't even realize it had been that long! I had it on the back burner, but all those of you who voted on Mel's blog helped me bump updating the blog to the front burner. :) Loved all the comments on Mel's blog. No electoral college needed...the popular vote is heard and heeded here. :)
So...where in the world does one start to update a two year gap? Well, when last I updated Sadie had just turned 5. A few months after than, our life turned into a giant Twister game. Yes, you remember that game. Only this wasn't with our hands and feet. It was like this:
S.P.I.N.!!!!
Resign from job. Pack all belongings. Put them in storage and live in temporary place while the kids finish 3 months of school. Morgan will travel for work in area we plan to move too.
S.P.I.N!!!!
The man we are buying house and acreage from accepts our offer. Make some plans.
S.P.I.N.!!!!
Man mentioned above changes his mind about selling at all. Look into other options. Nothing opens up.
S.P.I.N!!!!
Go to Wyoming to enjoy family and friends and help with branding for two months. Live in Mel and Justin's basement for summer.Woo-hoo! I love this game! So do the kids. And the husbands :)
S.P.I.N!!!!
Nothing down south is working out at all. Getting nervous. Can't live with Mel and Justin forever, though it is tempting.
S.P.I.N!!!!
JD offers that we can stay put and work until whenever we need to. Muchas Gracias. :)
Rent a U-Haul. Drive 1,000 miles and retrieve all belongings. Say hello and goodbye to family and drive back. Whew!! Move into a house on the other side of the ranch from Mel and Justin. Decision not approved of by the children.
Enjoy being near family and dear friends whom we don't see much when we live 1,000 miles south. Kids go to the school I grew up going to and have some of my old teachers. Their classmates are children of my old classmates. Gotta love small towns.
S.P.I.N!!!
Unexpectedly, things in the area we had tried to move to fell into place quicker than I can burn toast and we were back in the car at Easter to come feel it out. Felt good, felt right, felt like we were about to have to rent a U-Haul again and that made me want to go on vacation and not come back until it was all done. This game is losing its charm. :)
We rented a U-Haul and left the north for the south one year to the day from when we arrived for the summer.
Now we are here. Where is here? We are not even sure yet. We're still a little dizzy from our marathon Twister game. :)
I will get to that soon. Today I will just say that we bought some land so it should mean we're staying awhile. :)
I would NOT choose to redo the logistic nightmare that the past two years has been, but I wouldn't trade the time we've had with Dad and Karen, Mel's family, and lots of friends for anything. And yet, it feels good to get here and be doing something that we think we'll be doing for a good while. And it is good to be close to family and friends here that we didn't see for a year. Ivey said it best when she said no matter where we live, there are people we are going to miss.
We better stay put. We have a friend who recently asked if we are done moving. He said "Because we have this address book and we started in the "B's" for you, but we are to the "F's" now. Sorry for all of you who are nodding in agreement. :)
Thanks for wanting us to blog again. I have missed having a journal of our days and times. I will do some catch up pictures soon...just this lengthy explanation of our blogging absence today. :)

To quote Jen "oh mylanta" :) I laughed out loud all the way through your post and thought THIS is why we've missed your blog!!! THANKS for going with the popular vote and reviving your blog! Truly...your blog is like a good dose of sunshine! :) Look forward to more!
Thanks, Mo. :)
Will you all do me a favor and let me know if you see a picture of my kids on some hay up in the upper left corner of the blog? One computer of mine pulls it up and one doesn't.
Blogger and I are getting reacqainted. I forgot how persnickity he is. :)
No Shell, there's no picture in the upper left hand corner :( Good luck with re-establishing your relationship with Blogger ;)
YAY! You're back!!! :) :) Can't wait to see more! :)
Oh and your pic of your kids by the hay...it shows up on my computer WAY DOWN AT THE BOTTOM of the page on the left. :)
Welcome back! :)
Faster than you can burn toast --- laughing my head off at your descriptions!
You truly could have took up permanent residence in our basement! Guess now that you're in your spot and have plans to build a house, you can build a basement for us to come live in someday!
Great post - don't forget to do another one sometime this year!
I saw the picture of the kids on the hay, only when I looked at on post and the comments. When I first came to the blog they didn't show up.
Love ya Bunches,
Aunt Vicki
