Family Time. That is what our kids call it. Anything we all do together they call Family Time. They love it. We love it. This summer we have had lots of it. The other day we were on the way to town when Morgan spotted a big hole in the fence some fighting bulls had made. So our Family Time ended up being fence fixing, and it was fun. The girls and I were dressed for town, so we were more spectators since the weeds and stickers were hard on our feet and legs. It was fun to watch the progression with Shane though...You can see that he started out as an observer, asking lots of questions. Then Morgan started asking him to do little things to help, which tickled him to no end.
But as he stood there holding the fence while Daddy set posts, I could see his mind working. Pretty soon.....
Can I do one Daddy??
He got it part way in before he started feeling like it might not be as easy as Daddy made it look. Daddy was totally entertained. He told Shane he had to finish what he started....
But he did help him a bit. :) Then he did another one, after letting Daddy do a few more.
Meanwhile, the girls had the top of the truck for their playground - I love Ivey's face as she tried to do her doll's hair. Sadie was texting someone on her play phone. :)
I hope you are all having good Family Time at your houses. :)

What a neat post, Michelle. Your kids' definition of Family Time is the best, turning tasks into adventures and making mundane things memorable. They've got it right.
