| These four were invited to be part of the local history day - they were all too happy to dress up and play pioneer! We had to scramble for clothes that fit the bill. Ivey vowed that by next year, we will have the real deal pioneer dresses. :) |
 |
| Then on to being students - aren't they cute? |
 |
| Maybe a little bit of mischief in the eyes of some on the back row. :) |
 |
| This is right up Ivey's alley. :) |
 |
| Jacks, anyone? |

Today my bunch is gone to the Rattlesnake Roundup - pioneer girls switched to camo shirts, denim skirts, and asked me incredulously as they left, "Don't you WANT to see how they milk the snakes?!" Um, no.....not, really. I sent the camera with them. That is as close as I need to get to the action, and smell, they are partaking of today. :) Their eyes were sparkling with excitement as they left and Daddy was happy to be sharing with them something he enjoyed as a kid.
Our kids rarely ask for money out of their savings accounts for spending, but they all wanted to have cash on hand today. I got it out for them but made them promise to not buy me anything rattlesnake-ish. :)
The funny thing is, Ivey opted out of a 4H field trip to the Neiman Marcus store, a sewing boutique, and to eat at a fun spot. When I told her the events were on the same day, it took all of 2 seconds for her to choose. She blurted out "Sorry, Mama. I have been wanting to go to the Rattlesnake Roundup for a long time."
Have a good day!

LOL Love that they can share the snakes with their Dad. Fun to see how the girls can be all girl, then a bit tomboy too. Sounds like your girls are a lot like you, except for the snake stuff.
How does little Ms. Indian handle being a pioneer is Amy's question. I guess if the Indian's came along, she could run out in front of them and beg them to take her with them! :)
Cute pics - we think they make very adorable and realistic pioneer children.
Such cute pioneer ladies!! I love Amy's question!
You are right---Ivey looks quite at home.
If they do this every year, costuming could be fun, right? Shawls and such....
