Photo Shoot in the Chicken Coop

Usually Shane checks the eggs, but we had been out of town so Sadie and I said we'd get the eggs since the other kids were going to school. I grabbed my camera just for the fun of it and, well...you can see what I did instead of laundry that morning. :)

I was playing with the portrait setting on my camera and love how Sadie is in focus and the chickens in the background on this one. This is one of my favorites.
The chickens were totally mesmerized by the bobs in her hair and she wasn't a bit afraid of them pecking around her!
In fact, look at her, she is purposefully baiting them, then she would laugh and laugh when they pecked at the bob again.
Her bounty...

Had to pet the horse as we headed back....This one, to me, is totally Sadie. That expression is just HER. So, this is another favorite. And you can see she was starting to get chilly and her nose was getting pink.
So that ended Mom's fun and made hot chocolate with not 1, but 2 big marshmallows for her cooperation. :)

This was a great post! Thanks for sharing! Although, I don't know how ANYONE could find chickens and egg pickin' enjoyable. Ew. :)

I should have added that I DO tend to be more of a wimp than most, but I can't guarantee that it sways my decisions and comments all that much.

Top ten favorite picture ever, the first one of her running! So sweet! All of them are great, but I just love that one for some reason.
