S'mores and Smiles

Tonight seemed like a perfect night to try our hand at making S'mores. It was all very sweet and pretty at first.
That didn't last long. As soon as everyone had a S'mores to attack, it got pretty intense and a bit...well, take a look and see for yourself.

Notice that Shane and Ivey have very different preferences in cooking their marshmallows. Ivey barely puts hers in the fire. It doesn't even get brown. Shane sticks his in there until it is on fire, then blows it out and eats it. I suspect he doesn't much notice the taste as long as gets to start it on fire and blow it out!

We sat out there, eating S'mores and telling stories. The evening was perfect, except for one thing. We noticed the absence of our usual Wednesday night group - and missed Levi, Keith, Poppy, and Monte. This evening would have been just right if the four of you hadn't abandoned us. :) This isn't to guilt trip you... just to let you know we miss you.

Hey, Welcome Back! :) Thanks for sharing in the gooey fun!! :) I thought it was rather comical, though, that there wasn't a picture of Mom eating HER s'more! Is there a specific reason for that? Was the gooeyness the worst on Mom's face?? *heeheehee* :o)

Yes, Jen... there is a reason there are no pictures of me eating S'mores. My fingers were way too sticky to touch the camera and pass it to Morgan! And after I started eating mine, I forgot about everything else in the world for a few minutes so I didn't even think about taking a picture. :) ~Michelle

Looks like a great time, but I think you are wrong about not caring about the taste of the marshmallow on fire. Its not Just the fire but also the chared flavor of the sweet marshmallow that makes Shanes method the one I prefer myself. Cheers for the flaming marshmallow.
